About Us

Ventos is the newest and most exciting woodwind quintet  in the San Francisco Bay Area.  Formed in January, 2005, Ventos has already performed with rave reviews
throughout the Bay area.

Ventos was born out of each of our member’s
individual passion to share their artistry and inspire others while making great music as a group. Ventos (which means “Wind” in Portuguese) aspires to engage audiences
young and old with exciting performances
of the classic wind quintet repertoire, transcriptions for wind quintet and
commissioning new works for our genre.

Ventos is also keenly aware of the
importance of keeping music alive in our
schools and advocates working with younger musicians through coaching, mentoring,
etc. to find their passion for making music.
