| | |  | Biography Cathleen Torres is a freelance musician in the San Francisco Bay Area. She holds Business Administration and Music degrees from California State University, Hayward, and recently received a Masters of Music degree from the Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University. Ms. Torres has performed with various chamber and orchestral groups, including the Baltimore Symphony, Santa Cruz Symphony, Stanford Chamber Orchestra, Master Sinfonia, Brazzissimo, and the Golden Gate Woodwind Quintet. She teaches privately, has presented masterclasses, and has performed with numerous community theaters and churches in the Bay Area. Her teachers include members of the San Francisco, San Jose, Vallejo, and Baltimore Symphonies, and the San Francisco Ballet/Opera Orchestra. Ms. Torres has been awarded with the Getty Foundation scholarship, CSUH Woodwind Quintet scholarship, and Peabody Conservatory Merit scholarship. She has participated in masterclasses with Lawrence Vine, Julie Landsman, Bill Klingelhoffer, and Barry Tuckwell. |
