Max Hollander, Oboe


  Biography

Originally from San Francisco, Max Hollander joined the Boise Philharmonic as Solo English Horn in 2002 after completing graduate school at the Peabody Conservatory.  Max was a featured soloist with that orchestra in Aaron Copland's Quiet City in May 2005.

Max is a graduate of the Oberlin Conservatory. His major teachers are James Caldwell, Joseph Turner, and Janet Popesco.

He has been a participant in the Sun Valley Summer Symphony in Idaho, the Sunflower Music Festival in Topeka, Kansas, and the Hot Springs Music Festival in Arkansas.

Max is also currently a faculty member of musicianship at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
